How Whirlpool’s appliances help the VISION House Las Vegas achieve its Zero Energy Ready and all-electric goals.
The VISION House Las Vegas isn’t just a demonstration project. It’s a bold statement about the future of housing. A collaboration between Green Builder Media and Beazer Homes, the project brings together high-performance building science, cutting-edge sustainability, and smart, electrified living.
During a walkthrough of the VISION House, Justin Andersen, Director of Operations for Beazer Homes, made it clear that their partnership with Whirlpool is about more than just good-looking appliances—it’s about creating a better, safer, more efficient way to live.
“We use Whirlpool appliances because they blend beauty with performance,” asserts Andersen. “Since the VISION House Las Vegas is all-electric, were showcasing induction cooktops and stoves. The cooktop is fast and super-efficient. It’s also safer than gas appliances because the technology enables it to be cool to the touch even right after you take a hot pan off the surface, and it helps maintain good indoor air quality.”
Whirlpool’s electric induction appliances align perfectly with Beazer’s all-electric, solar-powered design philosophy. Not only do they eliminate the harmful indoor air pollutants often associated with gas cooking, but they also contribute to a quieter, cleaner, and cooler environment.
“This home is designed for people who are ready for indoor-outdoor living, comfort, efficiency, and a little more luxury,” Andersen states. “And the Whirlpool appliances really support all of that without compromise.”
Beazer’s commitment to Zero Energy Ready Homes is evident throughout the project, but it’s the subtle, thoughtful choices—like an induction range that’s both fast and family-friendly—that show how far we’ve come in building homes that reflect the way people actually live.
