Selecting paint colors for your home can be a daunting task. Wall colors set the mood and tone of a room. Paint colors should augment decor and furniture, and a wrong choice can be both frustrating and costly.
Thankfully, Sherwin-Williams has streamlined the color selection process. The company’s spectrum of in-person, hands-on and online tools and resources make choosing the right colors a seamless experience for homeowners.
“Sherwin-Wiliams’ paint products fit right into our design goals not only from a design and comfort perspective, but also from a health and wellness standpoint,” Raterman expressed.
The selection process involved a hands-on approach, initially narrowing down potential colors using Sherwin-Williams fan decks. Next, large-format peel-and-stick samples were ordered, allowing Raterman to envision the colors in each room’s different light.
She notes how the north/south orientation of their home caused colors to go gray in the north end of rooms. “So, it was very important to us to have the flexibility to carry around these large-format paint samples and feel them in every space,” She explains.
While Susan described her selection process as hands-on, Clark highlights Sherwin-Williams’s array of online color selection tools. For example, “using our visualizer online can be really helpful as well to help visualize those colors and see how they look in your space,” details Clark.
