Transcend’s bathrooms feature slip resistance and anti-bacterial characteristics for health, safety, resilience, and beauty.

Bathrooms work harder than any other room, so they’re where durability and design discipline matter most. At VISION House Transcend, they’re small resilience labs: Every surface choice had to hold up to steam and splashes, and the occasional “life happens” moment without drifting out of style in a few seasons. That’s the core of Transcend’s material philosophy: build spaces that feel timeless on day one and still feel right ten years from now.

Aesthetically, VISION House Transcend was designed with a focus on a connection to nature and biophilic design. The large glass windows and doors offer an expansive view of the surrounding San Juan Mountains and North Fork River, and the light-colored surfaces reflect the abundant natural light.

The format selection does as much work as the color. Large-format porcelain on floors creates broad, uninterrupted planes: fewer grout lines to scrub, fewer visual seams, and a cleaner, more tranquil feel. With DEFEND powered by Microban fighting the growth of up to 99% of bacteria on the surface, daily care becomes a light wipe, which saves water and reduces reliance on harsh cleaners.

Additionally, small-format mosaics in the showers add grip and a gentle pattern, while the larger field tile keeps the rest of the space serene.

The StepWise slip-resistant technology gives confident movement to everyone, including kids, guests, and those with aging-in-place needs, without broadcasting “accessible” as a separate aesthetic. It’s spa energy that you don’t have to tiptoe around.

Healthy-home priorities show up in the material chemistry as much as the look. In a tight, high-performance envelope, inert, non-offgassing surfaces help limit unnecessary VOC sources. Hard, dense finishes don’t harbor as much moisture or dust, which supports indoor air quality alongside proper ventilation. Hygiene features integrated into today’s surfaces can further help keep things fresher between cleanings (never a substitute for cleaning, just a helpful assist).

Future-proofing is the final test. By choosing Daltile’s dent-proof, scratch-resistant, water-proof, and stain-proof offerings, it ensures the tile will hold up to the test of time. If a repair is ever needed, tile is serviceable in sections. That practicality is good for budgets and better for the planet than the remodel churn.

Designing for decades isn’t about playing it safe; it’s about choosing what earns its place year after year. In Transcend’s bathrooms, that means surfaces that stand up to real life, support healthy indoor environments, and stay gracefully in the background while the people and the home grow and change.
