COVID spotlighted the importance of healthy homes and indoor spaces. As a result, more than ever before, consumers are seeking products to enhance air quality and create healthier environments for their families.

Greg Calderone, VP of H-P Products, a leading manufacturer of central vacuum systems, explains, “the air you're breathing and its impact on your health is critical, and inside your house is probably the most polluted space you're in.”

Sara Gutterman, CEO of Green Builder Media, met with Calderone to discuss the health benefits and ease of use associated with installing a central vacuum system.

Vacuuming kicks up all kinds of pollutants that get inhaled. Allergens, dust, mold, pet hair and viruses get redispersed throughout the air. “If you can smell it, you're breathing it,” Calderone says. “Not to mention the clogged filters and loss of suction that are all-too-commonly associated with portable vacuums.”

Central vacuums are far superior since the tubing system takes air and debris out of the room and deposits them into a canister, typically in the garage. The bottom line is that you aren’t recirculating toxins inside the home like traditional vacuums.

H-P Products has taken the art of vacuuming a step further with retractable hose options for ease of use and spot-clean convenience with no need for storage space. Through engineering and 3-D printing, H-P products has become the market innovator for central vacuum products. “We are focussed on putting out the best products we can,” says Calderone.
