We promised a fresh conversation—one that pushes the boundaries of how homes are built, how they perform, and how they are valued. It’s time for the reveal.
At Green Builder Media, we are relentless in our pursuit of thought-provoking, leading-edge content that drives continuous improvement and market transformation. We track the most pressing issues affecting building professionals and consumers alike, and we also constantly challenge ourselves to evolve how those conversations are delivered.
Today, we’re proud to introduce the Green Builder Media Network, a curated collection of podcasts exploring sustainability, affordability, resilience, wellness, purpose, value, and the forces reshaping the built environment.
From breaking news to deep dives into the industry’s most urgent challenges, the podcasts on the Green Builder Media Network will spotlight profit-driving opportunities, value-creating strategies, and systemic issues that influence how—and why—we design and build. Our focus: advancing a more sustainable, affordable, and equitable housing system.
But we won’t stop at housing.
Our ambition is broader—to provoke deeper thinking and catalyze meaningful dialogue with experts across sectors. The goal is to report on change and to influence it, extending the conversation beyond construction to impact our economy and culture at large.
The Green Builder Media Network is launching with three flagship podcasts:
"This Week’s Sustainable Building News," hosted by Editorial Director Cati O’Keefe, delivers timely updates and insights on sustainability, housing, and building trends.
"The Valuation Metric," hosted by yours truly, examines the risks, rewards, roadblocks, and revelations reshaping how we define and measure value.
"The Impact Series," hosted by Green Builder Coalition Executive Director Mike Collignon, features in-depth conversations with leaders driving meaningful change.
This podcast network exists to rethink prosperity, purpose, and progress. We’re not chasing headlines. We’re changing the lens.
We will challenge the status quo—asking hard, sometimes uncomfortable questions about what we build, what we reward, and what we leave behind, refuting and refusing to accept systems that no longer serve people, communities, or the planet.
Each episode brings together visionary thinkers, sustainability leaders, and change makers for conversations designed to add consequence to the world around us. We’ll move beyond “What does it cost?” to ask, “What value does it create?” “What does it protect?” and “What does it make possible for generations to come?” We’ll explore ideas like Value Per Square Foot and examine how sustainability moves from theory to practice.
Our metric of success is simple: if these conversations stir something in you, then we know we’re on the right track. If they prompt you to question the numbers you’ve been handed, the metrics you’ve been taught to trust, or the assumptions you’ve accepted about value, we’ll know we’re doing our job.
If you’re ready for astute conversations that spark ideas and inspire action, consider this your invitation to join us as we rethink how we design, build, sell, appraise, finance, and value homes—and redefine progress itself.
