When Judi and Robert George set out to design the VISION House Austin with legendary green architect Peter Pfieffer, they weren’t just building a beautiful new home in the Texas Hill Country—they were investing in their health, comfort, and long-term peace of mind.

At the heart of that dream was a high-performance building envelope provided by Henry, whose solutions are helping make the home ultra-efficient, climate-resilient, and uber-comfortable.

One of the standout features for the Georges? The house stays naturally cool and dry, even in the sweltering Texas heat, without overreliance on air conditioning. “We keep our thermostat set at 78, day and night, and it’s still very comfortable,” says Robert. “All the insulation that was put into the construction—both in the walls and the ceiling—along with the Henry wrap and another insulation layer, really makes a difference.”

The Georges were especially impressed by how the Henry weather barrier was installed. “It was like putting Saran Wrap on the house,” Robert says. “It looked great.  No nails were visible, and everything was sealed beautifully. And the builders used another Henry product for the roof that really stuck well.  In fact, they complained about how sticky it was, but that was a good sign in our book.”

The results speak for themselves. With solar providing a surplus of power, the couple now enjoys utility credits, as well as a healthy indoor environment. “We don’t have to deal with issues from poor air quality or humidity anymore,” Judi notes. “Everything feels fresh and comfortable.”

For Judi and Robert, Henry’s envelope solutions are more than just high-performance—they’re a foundation for aging in place gracefully, efficiently, and worry-free. “We’re in our mid-80s,” Robert explains, “and this home gives us what we need for the future: no stairs, no drafts, no maintenance headaches.”
