Video: Composite Deck Reinforces the Human-Nature Connection

Hear from Ron Jones, owner of VISION House Mariposa Meadows, on why the expansive deck is one of his favorite aspects of this unique project.

In this video, Ron Jones, owner of VISION House Mariposa Meadows, emphasizes what makes this property so unique – the connection made with nature. The 1,400-square-foot Trex deck beautifully invites guests to embrace the natural setting and decompress from the craziness of everyday life.

“It’s the centerpiece of the entire compound. It allows us to not just be in the trees, it allows us to be of the trees,” Jones enthuses.

Trex supplied the decking, railings, furniture, lights, fire features, pergola and a spiral staircase. The composite decking material reduces the risk of wildfires. Regardless of even the harshest weather conditions, the decking material won’t rot, mold, warp, crack, or splinter. With a 25-year Fade and Stain Warranty, the deck system resists fading, staining, scratching, fire, and insects.

The deck is also extremely low maintenance, with no need for painting, restaining or sanding. The composite material stays as good as new for years to come. Soap and water are all that is needed to maintain the beauty of Trex composite surfaces. “All we have to do is sweep off the leaves,” says Jones with a smile.

“All of these components tie together and give us a visual that creates a relationship between the different buildings and unifies our exterior in such a way that everything’s connected,” Jones concludes.Stay tuned for more videos on the products that make VISION House Mariposa Meadows unique and sustainable.
