SuperPaint with Sanitizing Technology**

A latex paint that cleans up easily with water, this product is an EPA-registered microbicidal paint, which is proven to kill 99.9% of Staph (Staphylococcus aureus), E. coli (Escherichia coli), MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), VRE (Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecalis) and Enterobacter aerogenes on painted surfaces within two hours of exposure.

SuperPaint with Air Purifying Technology*

This line zeroes in on VOC reduction in the home. The paint includes formaldehyde-reducing technology that neutralizes VOCs from potential sources like carpet, cabinets and fabrics. It can also reduce common household odors from cooking, smoking, and pets (see product disclaimers below).

An Arizona Case Study

A whole-house remodeling project now underway will feature Living Well products prominently. Steve Easley, the owner and a building science consultant, has selected Sherwin Williams’ paints for the ReVISION House Scottsdale.

“Having used Sherwin-Williams’ paints on previous homes and been very happy with its performance, we are particularly enthusiastic about using SuperPaint with Air Purifying Technology,” Easley says. “Its ability to reduce airborne VOC concentrations from new furnishings and finishes—as well as the power to reduce odors from cooking and cleaning—will be instrumental in achieving our indoor air quality goals.”

Full Color Spectrum

It’s worth noting, however, that it wasn’t just IAQ features that attracted Easley and his partner, Susan Raterman, to this product line. Living Well  includes 540 colors specially curated to promote well-being in the home.  “I’m excited about the colors, such as Dutch Tile Blue SW 0031 and Sea Salt SW 6204, and thrilled that we’re addressing air quality issues simultaneously, says Raterman, who is an industrial hygiene consultant. “We’re also really interested in the many shades of gray offered in the collection. I’m all about the grays.”

Perhaps the easiest way to “test” colors from the Living Well collection is to order color chips or peel and stick samples. Sherwin-Williams offers 2" x 3" ColorSnap color chips delivered free of charge, via an online ordering portal at  swcolorchips.com . Customers can also order peel and stick samples at samples.sherwin-williams.com.
