And the Division House Austin is a unique architect design home that is intended to showcase how sustainability really begins with climate responsive design.

Sara Gutterman: So talk a little bit about how James Hardie's products contribute to sustainability at the design phase.

Jill Kolling: Homeowners want lasting using, and they want products that protect what matters to them most inside and outside of their home. And so for vision House Austin, which we're so excited to be a part of, we're featuring our party artists inside siding. So this signing has extra thick boards and it develops gorgeous like deep shadow lines. And this really allows architects and builders to create something distinct.

Jill Kolling: So you want siding that looks beautiful at the end of the day right on your house. But also these boards bring that great resiliency and durability that comes with the fiber cement siding with.

Sara Gutterman: All of, climate and nature based events becoming more frequent and intense. We're having to change the way that we do things to ensure resiliency, all the way from sustainable raw material procurement through to supply chain logistics, power generation, even into waste minimization and water accessibility. How is James Hardie addressing those topics?

Jill Kolling: We have ambitious goals around sending zero manufacturing waste to landfill. We've got goals around reducing our own emissions, schools around recycling more water. So being really responsible in our own operations, which, which helps us operate more efficiently and lower risk. We also look at the full value chain. So we have some heavy raw materials in our products.

Jill Kolling: We have cement. We have, sand silica in it. And so we strategically locate our plants near those raw materials right. So that risk mitigation for us and supply chain right also lowers the carbon footprint of transporting those heavy materials. And last year, more than 80% of the raw materials we sourced were sourced locally. So that's another one example of the thing we really look at, you know, resiliency in our own supply chain, right.
