Sara Gutterman: Rockwool insulation was used throughout the house. Transcend. In the crawlspace, there's comfort board 80 thermal insulated sheathing which goes under the slab. It's a rigid stone wall board made for continuous insulation applications. It also provides a line of defense against a possible fire, which is very important at the vision House transom that's located in the middle of millions of acres of national forest in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.

Sara Gutterman: This insulation absorbs sound, repels water, doesn't rot, and is made from natural and recycled materials. Additionally, Rockwell's AFB Evo was used in the interior wall cavity, which is a lightweight acoustical fire bat. Stone wall insulation ASV is specifically created to reduce sound transmission while protecting against fire. AICp Evo balances rigidity and flexibility, making it easy for installation, and the product has no added formaldehyde and meets the red list.
