Sara Gutterman: We've had the opportunity to work with our local utility, Gunnison County Electric Association, or GCA, and their energy provider, Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, which has been a wonderful experience for us because we've been working with them to optimize this high performance net zero build in the middle of Hinsdale County, which is the most remote county in the lower 48.

Sara Gutterman: We've been able to work with GCA and tri state to educate members of the co-op about the benefits of net zero electric, healthy, resilient solar plus storage powered homes. GCA and Tri State are using the vision House transcend as an example of a high performance, efficient prefab home, and they are working with us to collect data about demand side energy management, time of use pricing, peak load shifting, and other applications so that they can fully understand the best path forward, including proper rebates and programs surrounding energy efficiency.
