Enverge Showcases SucraSeal at IBS 2024

Charles Valentine, president of the spray foam business unit behind the newly launched Enverge brand, demonstrates at IBS 2024 how spray foam seals the building envelope against the air, heat and moisture that pass through porous insulation. He also details the company's open-cell foam, made in part from sucrose for 17% bio content in the finished foam.

Charles Valentine: On Charles Valentine. I'm the president of the spray foam business unit for wholesome. I'm happy to announce that we've launched The Enverge brand, which is a combination of a former gecko and the former CES, which were two companies purchased by Wholesome and Spray Foam. It's built in which part of wholesome building envelope spray foam is a superior insulating product.

Charles Valentine: As you can see from this demonstration here, you'll see what the with a porous product where air can flow through. You see there's a fan at the bottom here. You see the air going through with foam where we seal it up. You don't have that air through. Obviously, if the air comes through, it brings through heat, temperature, moisture.

Charles Valentine: A lot of things we don't want in our homes. So foam does a much better job of insulating the homes. As you look about green and sustainability, obviously one of the things you're looking at is lowering your energy bill with foam, lowering the usage of the generation of CO2. Lower energy usage, lower cost. Better comfort for the occupants in the family, less hot and cold spots.

Charles Valentine: Now that if I seal up my home and I know it air is coming in, I can control the quality of that air. So therefore I can have a healthier home as well. Wholesome as invested in this new technology or this industry. In order to help support sustainability, lower carbon dioxide formation, lower energy bills. We as wholesome also have a patent on one of our products.

Charles Valentine: The open cell product we make here. We can make this. Some sugar was made out of sucrose. We got 17% bio content in the finished foam, not in the previous raw materials, but in the actual phone. We're also generating new products where we're looking at recycled content and a lot of items like that. Now, when I talk about foam as an insulator, one thing that I always want to mention to people is the utilization of foam as a that it's already sort of, I say won the war with insulation, your igloo coolers, your refrigerator, your hot water heaters, all of them all use phone.

Charles Valentine: It is the most efficient, low cost insulator out there. So as we look at homes, it's a natural way to go. If you look at the future of your home and you look at the rising energy costs, the increased codes, requirements that we don't want as many air infiltrations, everybody wants a greener planet. We want to sustain the planet.

Charles Valentine: You look at it as we continue to build tighter homes, more mentally friendly homes. This product is is one of the leading products in getting that done. It increases the structural strength of a home. It gets rid of the moisture in the home and it insulates. So you have all of these attributes in one single product. So it has a quite a bit of value that it brings to the homeowner.
