Ron Jones: Probably the most essential part of a successful strategy for building anywhere centers around the building envelope. And so for the Mariposa project, we really selected Best in Class for everything. So our foundation is insulated with.

Ron Jones: Insulated concrete forms, which give us a tremendous energy advantage and helps to reduce the amount of concrete that we have to put in place. And it really sets the stage for everything that happens above that. We are very pleased to use a product like that. That gives us permanent energy efficiency. And then on top of that, the walls and ceiling panels are structural insulated panels.

Ron Jones: So they are solid foam between two layers of OSB. With all of the structural engineering in place. And it provides us an incredible effect in terms of thermal insulation, sound insulation and just quality surface everywhere. So we have 8.25in panels. The thickness of the walls and roughly in our 40 approaching our 40 on those. And then the roof panels are 12 inch and they're approaching our 60.

Ron Jones: And it's so amazing because with the solar gain that we have, the buildings never freeze in the coldest winters here at over 10,000ft. I've never seen any of the building spaces on the interior under mid-forties. And it doesn't matter if it's been below zero overnight, or if we've had a cold spell that lasted a few days. Very stable.

Ron Jones: And part of that is due to the solar gain and the extremely high quality window package that we have from euro line triple glazed, and the insulated value is in the R ten range. So they let in plenty of energy. But then it's it's captured, it's kept inside. And so the sound attenuation, the thermal protection and just the feel of the interiors really comes about because of the quality of the materials and the systems that we combined.

Ron Jones: One of the things that I should mention to for exteriors, all of our exterior doors, are insulated steel doors that have a three hour fire rating. And that was extremely important to us because we're in the middle of a forest and Western wildfires are our biggest concern. So that contributes to the indoor comfort level as well as the protection.

Ron Jones: And then on the outside of the surface, DuPont's suite of products that give us the ability to control air flow, water flow and the flow of energy, the temperature change is, is just astonishing. Everything operates in a way that avoids condensation. It protects the components of the structure, and it makes it possible for us to have the highest quality living space that that we can.
