Electricity Price Data Suggests Best and Worst Places for Solar Power

The up-to-date, interactive data on electricity rates offers valuable insights for solar installers and planners.

It's often hard to find the latest electricity rates, but William Hudson at ChooseEnergy.com sent us this well-maintained and helpful update.
The information is especially important for the solar PV industry, because higher electricity prices tend to inversely affect the "payback" period for solar installations. When electricity is dirt cheap, as it is in Louisiana, for example, it's hard to get solar off the ground.
A quick glance at the data tells you where the States with the fastest solar payback are: almost all in the Northeast, with the exception of Alaska and Colorado.
