It used to be that it required expensive special cameras to monitor wasted home energy. No more.

FLIR ONE

The FLIR ONE Infrared Accessory shows "the world in a new light, even when there's no light at all. The FLIR ONE™ personal thermal imager by FLIR® lets you 'See the Heat.' "

  • Manufactured by: FLIR
  • Merchant SKU: 435-0001-01-00
  • Compatible with Apple iPhone5 and 5s.
  • Translates thermal energy into dynamic color images.
  • Use for security, home repairs, outdoor activities and more.

FLIR fits in pocket and shows what used to be invisible -- the energy leaking from your home (or whatever else you want to see whether it is hot or not). It also used to be that FLIR One was iphone only. No more. Announced at CES was the new Tiny Predator camera that hangs off of any smartphone. It will be available mid 2015, the company says.
