Earth has broken through the 400 parts per million of carbon, a figure that many scientists breaches the point of no return for climate change.
The atmospheric monitoring station in Mauna Loa, Hawaii, run by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), measured more than 400 parts per million for the entire month of April for the first time in human history.
